Wizards of the Coast made their quarterly Banned and Restricted announcement for Magic: The Gathering today.
To the surprise of no one, effective April 8, 2016, Eye of Ugin is now banned in Modern play. However, for the time being, Eldrazi Temple is still legal to play in Modern. The Eldrazi decks won’t be quite as powerful, but you’ll probably seem them sticking around for a while longer.
Ancestral Vision and Sword of the Meek are both unbanned in Modern, effective April 8, 2016. If you want to play either of these cards, you’ll find that the price has skyrocketed for both.
Lodestone Golem is now restricted in Vintage play, effective April 8, 2016.
The Magic Online effective date is April 13, 2016.
The next Banned and Restricted announcement will take place on July 18, 2016.
